New & loving it
Written by Jennifer Wisdom on 2nd Oct 2017

I have only been using Allen's Naturally powder laundry detergent for 5 months. The reason I switched to Allen's Naturally is that my husband and I just had a baby and we are cloth diapering. I needed a detergent that was free of chemicals, dyes, and perfumes that was also safe for cloth diapers. I'm so glad we switched. Initially, I thought I continue to use another free and clear brand detergent, but when I read about hidden ingredients, I didn't want to take any chances so I switched and actually use it for all my laundry. It doesn't take much to get things clean. Never have I thought my cloth diapers were not clean. Since we travel out of state to visit our family, it's also much easier to travel with than a liquid detergent. Just put a few scoops in a plastic container and we're good to go!

great product

I initially bought this powder on the recommendation of friends who laundered cloth diapers about 8 years ago. I bought another box when we had our second child 2 years ago and am just running out of it! Clothes and diapers come out clean and without any scent at all. And the bag goes such a long way! Love this stuff!

Best Natural Laundry Detergent

I started using Allen's Naturally when I started using cloth diapers for my first son 11 years ago. I love that it doesn't have any of the dyes or chemicals other detergents have. My kids have sensitive skin, but no problems with this detergent. I am glad there is a detergent that is good for my family and the environment. It is also super easy to purchase via Amazon. All around a great product.

Effective and safe

We started using Allen's when we had our son and began using cloth diapers. It was recommended to us by a friend and we definitely agree with the recommendation. It has been effective in cleaning some, obviously, very messy diapers. We also use it for our son's clothes. The detergent has never resulted in the colors fading and our son has never had any type of reaction to it. We will definitely recommend to others.

Great detergent

I started out using the laundry powder for my son because of his allergies and now I use it for all my laundry needs. You get a lot of bang for your buck as I don't have to constantly rub to the store to buy laundry detergent. I buy four bags of the Natural Power and that last me an entire year or a little longer.

Better than Allen's Liquid
Written by Gina V. on 15th Jun 2017

Recently, I ordered the Allen's Naturally Stink out to use with their liquid. I received a bottle a sample of the powder which honestly, I had no idea they offered. I have always used liquid and not thought twice about checking out powder. Anyway, I digress. I just have to say after one load of white towels, I am sold and this is my new go to. I called them to ask what the difference was and was told powder has always been a better detergent regardless, I didn't really understand the chemistry of it all and don't need to I just wanted the cleanest whitest possible towels and tees and now I have them. I need a fragrance free and dye free product because of sensitivities and this is the ONLY detergent we have not had breakouts with in our house. Furthermore, we have an Air B and B property and use the Allen's Naturally products to clean with as not to bother our guests. In exchange for my review after talking with the owner, she said they give up to $10 off for reviews that provide a lot of detail, I hope it covered it all for the $10. We have used their products for many years and love them. The new surface cleaner is great too.

I love Allen's Detergent!!!

Oh yes! Here's my review! I decided I was going to cloth diaper my second child, and I had a hard time trying to find a detergent that would clean them well, wouldn't cause build up, and wasn't toxic. Once I tried Allen's, I was hooked, it was far more affordable and it actually worked best compared to other cloth diaper safe detergents, plus it's safe. I love Allen's detergent!! Thanks, Laura B

Powder vs. Liquid - Loving the Stink Out!
Written by Lucy on 18th Mar 2017

Recently, I purchased another bottle of the liqud detergent and received a sample of powder detergent in my order as well. I have always used liquid for no reason other than my mom always used liquid. My understanding was the Allen's liquid was for hard water and we have hard water, but I have to say I really like the powder more. Now that I have done two loads of laundry with it my diapers seem cleaner and fresher smelling. They don't smell like anything but fresher, I am not sure how else to explain it. Thank you for the samples. The Stink Out was amazing for some towels I left in washer too long and had to wash again.

Super Clean!

Excited to use detergent that is not only good for my family but also for the environment. Just used it for the first time for all 10 loads this week...kids/adult clothes, towels and sheets. Everything came out feeling clean and soft. The sheets were noticeably cleaner feeling then when they normally come out using environmentally friendly products. Can't wait to continue using the Allen's other products!

Glad we switched to Allen's

I made the switch over the Allen's Naturally Powder Laundry Detergent about 6 months ago. I am a new mother, and opted for cloth diapers. Prior to using Allen's I was using a generic grocery store liquid soap, which was harsh on my diapers and not friendly for baby. I am thankful for West Michigan's local EcoBuns store advocating for Allen's. Now I wash all the diapers, cloth wipes and family's clothes with Allen's powder laundry detergent. I have a standard washing machine and use about 1/2-1 scoop per load (cloth diaper or clothes).
